15942Photo #15942Car hell! A cycling familiy waits to cross this junction where a dual carriageway crosses a six lane highway, and a sea of cars wait in a huge supermarket car park. This photo was taken from the pedestrian bridge which has got steps to stop wheeled access.
A local resident didn't agree with my assertion that "Stockport is totally dominated by cars".

15946Photo #15946Pavement parking is endemic, even in this quiet road where there is plenty of room on the road yet where the pavement is already narrow.

The yellow warning signs about not leaving stuff in cars on _every_ lamppost crank up the paranoia.

17119Photo #17119This sign was put up without permission by a cycling activist over 3 years ago and its still there.

(I'm not sure I've got the location exactly right but its on one of the outgoing arterial roads near here.)

Neighbouring boroughs (or is it districts) have since put up similar-looking official signs!
