High-speed traffic mixed with high numbers of cyclists. The carriageway is wide enough to have segregated cycleways.

The angle Minshull Street divides off the A6 causes fast turning traffic, dangerous for the many pedestrians crossing the city centre road, and conflict over the bus lane on the left, dangerous for cyclists and making it less useful for bus ... [more]

There isn't even a pavement on this side of the road - this really needs looked at. No space for walking at all!

On-street parking should be removed to either widen the pavement or provide a cycle way. Significant problem here with close passing of cars

Cyclist turning right on Victoria Avenue. Also cycleway all along Vic Ave

For cyclists turning right into town and cycleway over bridge from Cheetham Hill road

For cyclists crossing into Northern Gateway (Smedley road) from Woodlands road

Long straight road where too many cars drive way too fast. Sections where cars are parked both sides of the road make it difficult for vehicles to pass each other safely. Cycling down Charlestown Road can be a bloody awful dangerous experie ... [more]

Segregated Cycleway needed Deansgate that will also allow for safer crossing towards Spinningfields. At the very minimum the road should be repaved as in order to avoid potholes you to move very close to moving vehicles and sometimes bl ... [more]

Pavement and cycleway-to-be - surface needs raising as tree routes make it inaccessible for many

Dangerously narrow and congested busy street, with a lot of parked vehicles adding to the mix. Ban all motorised vehicles (maybe just during the day to allow for deliveries - 7am-7pm), and make it exclusive to pedestrians/cycles.

Speeding cars/vans, very narrow road + pavement and a semi-blind bend leads to very dangerous overtaking. There is no room to widen the road for cycle paths, so maybe we need a one-way system with Manchester/Wilbraham Rds to allow for a wi ... [more]

Wider better cycle path

Much better protection of the cycle way. I use it in the mornings but dare not in the evenings; pedestrians cross into it and cars turn across it with very little warning.

Too many parked cars combined with pedestrian islands means lots of pinch points. Solution: double yellows + cycle paths. Without the parked cars this road is ideal width for cycle lanes.

Approaching the Parkway East->West is very, very dangerous at busy times. There is a straight-on cycle path that cars simply ignore and cut straight in front of unsuspecting/trusting cyclist. The lights/stopline need bringing forward (Eas ... [more]

This is a key route into town so a proper bike lane with a safe walking/cycling crossing from Ancoats would really help encourage active travel. Great Ancoats Street is a busy, unsafe street that acts as a barrier

Really unpleasant waiting area for buses. Like standing on a motorway. Needs to be more pedestrian and cycle focused.

Unclear to some drivers that this is a cycle lane. Line paint doesn't do the job - needs to be safer

Wands or ideally full segregation needed here to prevent buses and veering into cycle lane.

Make Boat Lane 2 way for bikes

Potential for filtered neighborhood to reduce rat running

Provision for secure cycle storage for visitors to the hospital.

Continious and clear active travel route along Southmoor Road.

New clear active travel route at new development

Clearer signage from Wythenshawe Park along the 85 route needed

Segregate Moor Road for cyclists

Cycle crossing to cemetery

Move pedestrian crossing to allow active travel between Kingsley/Beech/Roundwood Road

Tarmac passage between Penarth and Bradnor Road

Potential for filtered neighborhood to avoid rat run

Current path needs to be maintained - needs a sweeper/clearance.

Properly connect current infrastructure on Hollyhedge Road as active way to hospital

Greenwood Road good candidate for a bike lane. Links with Benchill school, Enterprise Academy and Wythenshawe Hospital.

Active travel route along sharston Road to connect Paletine Road via Longley Lane to Brownley Road

Suggest as with all bridges a 'no passing cyclists' sign and rule applies. Also painted on road so its stands out

Too many cars parked on the pavements. Beech Road should be for pedestrians and cyclists only between 9 and 5.

Wide straight residential road speeding traffic potential for segregated cycleways for safer cycling
